Knoxville to Host 2019 NASC Sports Symposium 

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The City of Knoxville, Tenn., will be the host city for the 2019 National Association of Sports Commissions (NASC) Sports Events Symposium scheduled for May 6-9, 2019. The annual symposium brings leaders in the sports tourism industry to connect with rights holders, venue managers and partners.

“Sports tourism is a growing market and to have NASC choose Knoxville is wonderful for our destination,” said Kim Bumpas, president of Visit Knoxville. “Being chosen for this event puts Knoxville on a national playing field with many other cities across the nation.”

Chad Culver, senior director of Visit Knoxville Sports Commission said hosting the symposium in “an incredible honor to Knoxville as well as the entire state of Tennessee. The symposium features dozens of authentic education sessions, business development appointments and networking opportunities during the event.

The 2018 symposium will be held in Minneapolis, Minn., April 23-26.
