Regulation Cornhole Boards Available from Association

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The American Cornhole Association (ACA) is making official regulation cornhole boards available to consumers to protect the sport of cornhole.

“Many of the budget cornhole boards sold online today are not regulation boards and are built with inferior material and are a rip-off to consumers,” said ACA President Trent Henkaline. “Substandard boards often end up costing many times more than what a quality, standard board does once you factor in that they need to be replaced much more often. Given the fact our association is the first and largest governing body for the sport of cornhole, we felt it was time to level the playing field for fans.”

Henkaline says budget boards do not have a polyurethane lacquer on their tops, which causes the image on it to fade and the lack of a slick surface prevents bags from sliding easily. Many boards also don’t use half-inch stock for the tops, which causes bags to bounce when they land. Henkaline said most discount cornhole bags are filled with sand instead of corn or plastic resin and are not made with duck cloth, instead using material that doesn’t slide or falls apart.
