MONROE, Wash.—The first annual INT Dust Off the Rust water
sports competition brought aquatic athletes to ride the chilly surface of Lake
Tye Saturday, according to a recent report in the local newspaper.
The event was open to waterskiing, wakeboard, wakeskates,
kneeboard and wakesurf.
The INT has been hosting water sports events in Washington
since 1983, and is welcoming to athletes of all skill levels.
The event was the third of its kind to be drawn to Lake Tye
for its smooth water surface and proximity to spectators. The MasterCraft Pro
Wakeboard Tour, the largest of the events, will come to Monroe July 12-13.
