OSHKOSH, Wisc. — Former college wrestlers and fans around the world will be able to watch American Prostyle Wrestling LLC (APW) in Menominee National Arena where matches will be broadcast throughout the inaugural season.
APW recently launched a team-based league that combines the three wrestling disciplines of Greco-Roman, Freestyle and Folk Style into one action-packed, specialized form of combat. The new league fills
“Because wrestling is a marketable sport with a strong fan base, wrestlers should be able to make money doing something they love,” said Daniel Jackson, American Prostyle Wrestling Founder. “We created this league to provide wrestlers some financial security while pursuing their dreams after college of competing internationally and winning Olympic and World Championship medals.”
Several national champions and Division I and II All-Americans have already committed to the league.
Athletes and organizers said the APW matches will be family-friendly and will feature the best former college wrestlers competing against one another.
