Thousands of Cheerleaders Compete in All Star Challenge

CINCINNATI, Ohio — All Star Challenge returns to Cincinnati for the 13th year, bringing nearly 2,100 cheerleaders from eight US states and more than 29 cities to the Cincinnati Duke Center this coming weekend, Nov. 23-24.

More than 125 athletic performances in both cheer and dance are part of the 2019 Return To Atlantis national championships.

Cincinnati kicks off the All-Star Challenge season for a total of six competitions across the U.S. Atlanta, Baltimore, Myrtle Beach, Orlando, and Raleigh are the others.

“Duke Energy Convention Center has been a great host partner for over a decade, growing this prestigious youth national event for our hotels and driving large economic impact with the 120 visiting teams,” said Leslie Spencer, Cincinnati USA Sports Commission’s executive director.

Admission to the events is $20 on Saturday and Sunday. There is a two-day pass for $30. Children 5-18 years are $10 on Saturday and Sunday. Children under 5 are free.

All Star Challenge joined the nation’s largest ensemble of spirit industry providers, Varsity Brands, in 2008. Varsity Brands will continue to operate independently.
