‘Virtual’ Basketball Camp Possible Via App

OVERLAND PARK, Kan.—ShotTracker, a wearable technology for basketball, announced its partnership with Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson to launch the first virtual basketball camp with workouts and drills specifically designed by the NBA athlete.

ShotTracker tracks makes, misses and attempts with its net sensor, wrist sensor and an app that work together to create a personal shooting profile for the user.

The partnership also includes a multi-year endorsement deal with Thompson, who will advise on future product development for ShotTracker.

The camp will use Shot Tracker’s technology to bring a live camp experience to players. Daily workouts, developed by Thompson and his trainer, will be sent to participants via the ShotTracker Player app. There, players will track their stats and see Thompson’s stats as well as a live leaderboard. Using the ShotTracker Coach app throughout the camp, Thompson will see participant stats and will encourage and challenge players via social media.

The camp begins June 21 and ends June 28. For more information, log on to www.shottracker.com. Participation is free.
